Where I Stand

Canada is stolen land. I am an uninvited guest on the ancestral homeland of the Coast Salish Peoples.

I steward 0.5 acres on S,DÁYES (Pender Island). Two meanings of the name are ‘wind drying’ (from drying salmon) and ‘happy’. Before colonization, this island was used for seasonal gathering, hunting + fishing by the W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations, among others. They speak SENĆOŦEN, one of the first languages of this region.

+ I am committed to collective Liberation, forever. I use the Framework For Liberatory Consciousness by Dr. Barbara J. Love for this continuous practice.

+ My pronouns are She/Her and I am Queer. I’m learning how to create a safe space for us all to thrive.

+ I’m working on making my services and communications accessible for everyone.

+ I am neurodiverse (ADHD, cPTSD, OCD, etc.) and have learned to live joyfully in tandem with the tantrums.

+ I am contributing to Earth Protectors, to stop Ecocide (mass damage and destruction of nature).

+ I practise Purchasing Power Parity, so you will pay for the value of my offerings compared to your cost of living, not our exchange rate.

No one is free until we are all free.
